Personal Information

In general, you can visit manageNET on the Internet without telling us who you are and without giving any personal information about yourself. There are times, however, when we or our partners may need information from you. You may choose to give us personal information in a variety of situations. For example, such as your name and address or e-mail details to correspond with you, or to provide you with a subscription. Any information collected by manageNET is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. Further, we intend to let you know how we will use such information before we collect it from you; if you tell us that you do not want us to use this information to make further contact with you beyond fulfilling your requests, we will respect your wishes. If you give us personal information about somebody else, such as a spouse or work colleague, we will assume that you have their permission to do so.

Managed Security Services information

Where you or your organisation has made an agreement with manageNET for manageNET to provide managed security services, as part of the delivery of these services, certain information about your organisation such as connectivity details including IP addresses, passwords, and the like may be required. Where we hold such information, it will be used only for the purposes of providing the agreed service and will not under any circumstance be forwarded to a third party, unless expressly requested in writing by yourself or a legal representative of your organisation. Part of our managed security services may involve the collection of usage data from your devices under our management. Such information may include device configuration information, Web site usage statistics and URL visitations and frequencies, VPN connectivity and access statistics, performance statistics and metrics and the like. For disaster recovery purposes, this information is backed up by manageNET and stored off-site by a certified secure repository service. In the event that managed security services are terminated by either party, manageNET will return all critical configuration data to your control as agreed by the associated contract. manageNET will destroy any reminents of usage, configuration and statistics information that was held on manageNET servers or equipment that was used to provide the services. Some of this information may remain on disaster recovery tapes that were used to back up your systems while they were under management. Where such tapes also hold backup data from other mangaged clients devices, all such data may not be destroyed. These tapes are for disaster recovery purposes only, and any data on these tapes will not be forwarded or disclosed to any other party under any circumstance by manageNET, unless legally obliged.
